  • Leave your donations in the large, marked container near the back door.

How to Get Receipts for Donations

Donations to the Friends’ books sales are tax-deductible. Receipts for your donation are available from the librarians at the check-out desk on the second floor of the library.

What to Do With Books That Cannot be Accepted

Magazines and paperbacks in poor condition can be recycled with your curbside recycling.

Donate outdated textbooks and other books, DVDs, cassettes and CDs in unsellable condition to Hands Across the Water by dropping them off at the recycling container at the old Water Department offices, 63 Forge Village Rd., Westford. Hands Across the Water ships donated books to libraries and other organizations across the world, especially Africa. Thanks to the Westford Recycling Commission for setting up this book recycling site!
